In this blog, I am going to show you 5 websites that offer free stock video footages released under Creative Commons CC0, which makes them safe to use without asking for permission or giving credit to the artist, even for commercial purposes.
However, it is still our responsibility, tomake sure the depicted content, including persons, logos, private property, etc. issuitable for our application and does not infringe any rights.
"Creative commons" explains in detail aboutvarious licenses. There are some common sense exceptions whenit comes to using public domain images and video footages. You can learn more about it from this website- links are given in the show notes below this video.
1.Pexels Videos
With their growing database of videos, you are guaranteed to find the perfect footage for your website header, product promotion,YouTube videos or anything else. Every video they have is available to download for free for any purpose - including commercial. This guarantees that you will be saving the hundreds of dollars better spent promoting your brand. 2.Pixabay Videos
Pixabay is a vibrant community of creatives,sharing not only copyright free images but also videos. All contents are released under Creative Commons CC0 in their website which are available for download. You can copy, modify, distribute, and usethe images and videos, even for commercial purposes, all without asking for permission or giving credits to the artist. However, depicted content may still be protected by trademarks, publicity or privacy rights. Pixabay also has mobile apps available foriOS and Android. Check out Pixabay videos at this hyperlink.
3.Distill
Distill is another great source for stock videos. They promise upfront, to offer 10 FREE HD videosevery 10 days. You can also subscribe to their newsletter to get a link to their content in your email inbox. Their videos range from Nature, food, architecture, city, people, technology, animal, object, and abstract content. Check them out at this hyperlink.
4.Coverr
Coverr is a great service from two great teams- Coders Clan and Veed.me. This is a simple service with great mindsat work, they provide us with awesome video content that comes under the CC0 license. Don't forget to check them out as they give7 new videos every monday. Check them out here.
5.Life of vids
Coming from lifeofpix.com, lifeofvids.comis the last in our list but definitely not the least. They have great videos that are all primarilyplaced on Vimeo platform for us to download and use however we want. There are currently 26 pages of 10 videosper page in their website with more new videos added weekly. Check them out here. Just remember that not asking for credit isa great thing, but that shouldn't stop us from appreciating these creators with a donationfor a coffee or a simple link back.
